Initiation Clinics

The initiation clinic that was originally scheduled for May 19th in Kentville has been postponed.

There will be an initiation clinic held at the LWF Firehall/Community Hall (843 Fall River Road) from 5:30pm - 9:30pm on Monday, May 19th. To register for this course please go to nccp.baseball.ca and log into your account. Once their, find clinics and click on the appropriate clinic (LWF may 19th).

Bluenose League Registration Deadline

Just a reminder to all teams: the deadline for registration in the 2008 Bluenose League is Tuesday May 20, 2008. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Colin Johnson, the Bluenose League Coordinator at cjohnson@sportnovascotia.ca or by phone at 425-5454 ext. 355.

Baseball NS Semi - Annual Meeting

The Baseball NS Semi Annual meeting has been re-scheduled for Sunday, June 1st at 11:00am. The meeting will take place at the North Woodside Community Centre (230 Pleasant Street).

The Halifax Mets are hosting the Midget Nationals this year from August 7-11th. The following volunteer positions are available:

General Maintenance
Announcers
Offfice work
Ticket Sales
Ticket Taking
Ambassadors
Runner

Coaching Certification Requirements for 2008

To Coach in Provincials & Atlantics for the 2008 season, you will be required to be fully level 1 certified under the old NCCP program or take the following courses:

- Online course (nccp.baseball.ca) - Making Ethical Decisions (http://nccpeval.coach.ca/production/med/e/default.asp) - Initiation Module (4 hour session offered by BNB Facilitators)

To Coach at Nationals for the 2008 season, you will be required to be fully level 1 certified + Level 2 Technical under the old NCCP program or take the following courses:

• On-Line Course - (nccp.baseball.ca) • Making Ethical Decisions - (http://nccpeval.coach.ca/production/med/e/default.asp)

And the following workshops: • Initiation Module - (Completed by BNB facilitator) • Skills Analysis - (Completed by BNB facilitator) • Teaching/Learning - (Completed by BNB facilitator) • Planning - (completed by BNB facilitator)
