2026/2027 High Performance Coach Application

Baseball Nova Scotia is seeking Head Coach and Assistant Coach applicants for the 2026 and 2027 High Performance Programs. The following programs are accepting applications:

• 17U/Canada Games
• 15U
• 13U
• Senior Women
• 19U Women
• 16U/Canada Games Girls
• 14U Girls

Timeline

September 24th - Head/Assistant Coach application request posted on BNS website

November 3rd - Application Deadline

November 13th - Head Coach candidates contacted for interview

November 17th - 25th  - Interviews

November 28th   - Process Complete (for Head Coach selection)

*Assistant coach selection may vary, depending on level of interest.

**Timeline may be adjusted depending on level of interest or unforeseen circumstances.

Qualifications

• Head coach must be Provincial Trained at time of applying (or in the process of completing)
• Assistant coaches must be (or in the process of completing) Provincial Trained by May 1st (2026)

**Please note BNS Selection committee may ask for follow up or clarification in any of the above areas (through the interview process or other communication)

Selection Process

• Selection Committee to review Head Coach applications, and create a short list for interview stage. 
• Selection Committee will sit in on interviews.  
• Successful applicant will be informed by November 28th, 2025
• Successful Head Coach will choose 1 assistant coach (must be approved by Selection Committee). Selection Committee will present list of interested/qualified assistants. Head Coach will select two additional assistants from the list.
• Successful Head Coach will be on a two-year term (pending season end evaluation of the program after year 1). Head Coach is eligible to reapply upon completion of term.  

Renumeration

Honorariums will be available for High Performance coaching staff. Amounts will vary by program and position.
